Tuition rates are based on a seasonal rate for the entire season (September - May) and paid on a monthly basis (in monthly installments). Therefore, tuition remains the same whether there are 2,3,4 or 5 classes in the month. Tuition is due on the 25th of every month for the next month. After the 5th, tuition is considered late and a fee of $15.00 will be added. If tuition payments are more than two weeks late, participation in class will not be allowed until the balance is paid. $25.00 will be charged for all returned checks. We do not offer credit for missed classes unless an instructor has to cancel and we are unable to schedule a make up class. We do not allow students to makeup a missed class by attending another class.
Dancin' Dreams loves referrals and families receive discounted tuition if they refer (up to 3) families to our dance school. A referral is someone who starts at least one month after your start date and who has paid for their registration fee and first month's tuition. The month after your referral registers, you will see a reduction on your tuition each month for as long as your referral stays registered in a class. If someone brings in a gift certificate or other voucher, this is not considered a referral from another student. Please make sure to have your referral list your name as their referral during registration for you to get credit. If two or more students enroll from the same address, a family discount will be offered. Families simply count up the amount of hours the entire family is taking and find the corresponding rate on the rate sheet. Families get approximately a 20% discount on each class after the first.
Good attendance is beneficial for students and teachers. Students should make every effort to attend all classes, as absenteeism holds up the progress of the entire class. All students should arrive early enough to prepare for the start of class. Please allow time to dress, use the bathroom, eat, etc. before class time. Students will not be allowed on the studio floor before the actual class starting time. Please call if you will be missing a class.
A non-refundable family registration fee of $35.00 is due when registering. This is a one-time charge per family.
For the protection of everyone, please do not come to class if you have experienced a fever in the last 24 hours. Please call the studio if you will be missing a class due to illness.
Due to illness or personal reasons, substitute teachers may be needed at times. All substitute teachers are highly qualified and should be treated with respect.
We have adopted a peanut free/sensitive policy to ensure the safety of all students and staff in hopes to provide a studio environment that is safe for all children. Please DO NOT BRING snacks containing peanuts, tree nuts and their oils. We thank you in advance for your understanding and compliance with this policy.
It is our policy that students will not be allowed to wait in front of the building to be picked up. For safety reasons, students are asked to wait inside the studio for pick up. Dancin' Dreams and JKD Colorado will not be held responsible for students at any time before, during or after class time. We highly recommend a parent or guardian stay in the lobby area for the duration of your child's class.
Proper attire is required for all classes. Failure to dress appropriately will result in the student being asked to sit out of the class. Appropriate shoes for each class are needed as well. Absolutely no street shoes are allowed on the studio floor - dedicated dance or fitness shoes are required at all times. Please do not purchase your dance shoes at Payless Shoes or Target, as you will be asked to return them. No street clothing including jeans and overalls or jewelry please.
Rocks embedded in street shoes can permanently damage the studio floor. Absolutely no street shoes will be allowed on the floor. Dedicated dance or fitness shoes that are not worn outside are required at all times. Please remember that shoes used for class are never to be worn outside.
The studio will be closed for all major holidays. For closures due to snow or bad weather, please either call the studio or check the website before you leave. We will update our recorded message and place a note on our website an hour before class if we will not be running classes due to weather. We will not call or email for weather closrues. Tuition is not prorated for closures due to weather and we do not offer makeup classes.
Please be considerate of all others around you. Absolutely no gum, food or drink in the studio. Students are responsible for cleaning up and throwing away their trash. Please leave valuables and jewelry at home, as the studio is not responsible for missing items. Unclaimed lost and found items will be donated if not claimed within 3 months.
Students may drop classes any time but we do require you to give 30 days written notice via email to the director. Please be mindful of the billing cycles, as there are no refunds.
The recital contract is an extension to this policy and students agreeing to the recital contract cannot drop classes using this 30 day written notice policy. Students agreeing to the recital contract will stay enrolled for the duration of the season. Please note that refunds will not be given for students that have committed and signed the recital contract. In certain circumstances, credits will be applied to accounts.
