COVID-19 RESPONSE AND INFORMATION

We will use this page to connect students and their families to the most up-to-date information on how we are responding to these unprecedented circumstances using creative approaches to keep our students engaged as active learners.
Our Top Priority

Dancin’ Dreams is committed to promoting the health and well-being of our students and our community. To honor this commitment during the COVID-19 situation, we will need to temporarily adjust our studio schedule and teaching methods to follow recommendations from the CDC and local health departments.

We feel it is extremely important to keep a sense of normalcy for children, allowing them to continue to attend dance class and have something to look forward to each day.  Our team is working hard at becoming creative and we are excited to use this creativity to bring our classes into your home online.

Dancin’ Dreams - moving our classes online!

Based on current information, including the close monitoring of local and national health reports and directives regarding COVID-19, we have decided to temporarily move classes at Dancin’ Dreams online.

We are working as fast as we can to set up live broadcasts of classes, recorded classes and recital practice videos.  Please give us some time as we navigate how to bring our new teaching methods to you. You will receive instructions on how to log on soon and we will adjust our plans as needed according to government recommendations.

Online Student Area / Private Facebook Group

We have added a student only area of this website where current students can access class recordings, replays from livestream classes, technique videos and more!  This page can be found above at the Student/Parent Portal - online classroom.

We have also created a private Facebook Group that will serve as a central "meeting place" for our dance community to help us stay connected.  In addition to our online student area of the website, our Facebook group will serve as an additional platform for current families to access live-stream and recorded classes. Make sure to accept the invitation to join the group when you receive it so you'll be able to access distance learning and other activities as soon as they are available. More information will be available here soon.

Login Access

Recorded technique videos and recital practice videos will continue to be emailed the day of your class.  Our online classrooms are now available and an email with a login password was sent to all registered students via email. Our live lessons will also be recorded to view at a later time and we also plan to stream bonus videos live on our private Facebook Group.  All current students will have access to all live lessons, giving everyone the ability to attend multiple classes each week!

It is extremely important for the safety of your children to ONLY attend lessons for their own age group/skill level.  Your child(ren) should not try new technical skills at home without being supervised by a trained eye. Live lessons will be clearly marked by age/skill level.

Staying Involved

Please continue to give us some time to adapt to our online presence.  Our teachers are working hard to bring classes to their students. Once live classes are available on March 30th, we will be able to take attendance, which will help us keep track of your child’s involvement.

The best thing for kiddos, in our opinion, is to keep them involved in their regular activities.  Even though we are faced with changing the method of how we are delivering class instruction to keep our kiddos safe, we will continue to make the most of this temporary situation and appreciate your continued support.

Providing Security and Consistency for Current Students

We recognize that the necessary requirements to close schools and limit social interaction can be frightening and discouraging for children (and many adults too).  We are working hard to provide consistency and a sense of normalcy for our students while at the same time protecting their health and safety.
